The Committee strives to maintain and enhance the education quality processes. NAAC Steering Committee

To foster a vibrant academic as well as administrative culture on campus and thereby inculcate global competencies among the students in tune with the UGC practices, the NAAC Steering Committee was formed in 2003. It is an assimilated platform to cater to the quality maintenance and sustenance in the College ensuring higher standards of teaching and learning. IQAC Committee

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell of Sophia Girls' College (Autonomous), Ajmer is dedicated towards developing a quality system for conscientious, consistent and catalytic programmed action to improve the overall academic and administrative performance of the Institution.

This Committee deals with the development and application of quality benchmarks/ parameters for the various academic and administrative activities of the institution. It disseminates information on the various quality parameters of higher education. organization of workshops, seminars on quality related themes and promotion of quality circles are some of its core functions. It also conducts Faculty Development Programmes to update the knowledge and skills of Faculty. The IQAC is also involved in the preparation of the Annual Quality Report (AQAR) to be submitted to NAAC based on the quality parameters.

It is focused towards developing holistic academic excellence by promoting measures for institutional functioning towards quality enhancement through internationalization of quality culture and institutionalization of best practices.

Purchase Committee

The Purchase Committee is formed to cater to the needs and requirements of the academic, administrative, and managerial work of the College. It takes inputs from various departments regarding their demand and stock availability of items. The Committee aims at maintaining credibility and transaction in all the matters pertaining to infrastructure. It monitors the purchases of the College administration such as books, furniture, stock registers and other logistics support.

Finance Committee

The Finance Committee acts as an advisory body to the Governing Body which considers the budget estimates pertaining to the grants received or receivable by the UGC. It also deals with the income from fees collected to undertake the activities required for the implementation of the scheme of autonomy. The Committee also considers the audited accounts for the above.

Internal Financial Audit Committee

Internal audit has emerged as an important tool to assist the educational institutions in achieving their goals. Internal audit assists in maintaining efficiency and effectiveness in educational institutions. It ensures that the processes and systems produce results that meet the needs of society while making the best use of resources at their disposal. This Cell uses ICT in the internal audit finance mechanism. The committee ensures administrative accountability and excellence in academic matters.

Planning and Monitoring Cell

The Planning and Monitoring Cell reviews the budget requirements of various departments. It also reviews the minutes of the Department Meetings and all other committees. It also regulates the academic calendar as per the UGC Guidelines. This Cell evaluates and plans the curricular and extra-curricular activities. It strives towards advancement in Research and Development activities in the College. This Cell also conducts seminars, workshops, and conferences at the national and international level.

The UGC Monitoring Cell serves as an axis for events and activities undertaken by the College administration from time to time. The UGC Monitoring Cell follows the guidelines provided by UGC on Examinations, Academic Calendar, Online Classes, Women Empowerment, Implementation of Schemes etc. Amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, the College plans all its activities in keeping with the UGC Guidelines on health and safety of the stakeholders as the top most priority.

The Time Table Committee is essential for effective management of academic programmes throughout the year. The Committee has an active involvement of members of various departments and it configures the time table based on the feasibility and comfort of all departments. Environmental and Energy Audit

The Environment and Energy Audit Committee of Sophia Girls' College (Autonomous), Ajmer plays a crucial role in promoting Environmental Sustainability by formulating various Environmental policies, evaluating energy usage, environmental impact, and recommending strategies for improvement. It is responsible for conducting regular audits to assess energy consumption patterns, identifying inefficiencies, determining the environmental footprint including resource usage, waste generation and emissions and proposing solutions for energy conservation.
Regular check ups regarding the Air Quality Index, Water Quality Index and Soil Quality Index are some of the best practices of this committee.
The institution boasts of 100 kw Solar panels; 100, 000 litres Rain Water Harvesting capacity and a Biogas plant which again comes under the immediate responsibility of this committee.
